Research Studentship (MPhil) in Identification and Mapping of Geothermal Anomalies using Satellite Data. Applications are invited for a 12 month research studentship in Identification and Mapping of Geothermal Anomalism using NASA MODIS and other satellite instruments. The project is funded by a company and the National Centre for Earth Observation based at the University.
The MPhil studentship will cover a maintenance grant for 12 months and a small amount for research expenses and travel. Full University student fees for students will be covered. Support on technical aspects of the studentship will also be offered by the National Centre for Earth Observation.

The student will be based in the department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Leicester http://www2.le.ac.uk/departments/physics ). The student will be encouraged to complete all aspects of the MPhil including submission by the end of the 12 month grant period.
