One-Year Term Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Physical Geography and Geomatics – Brandon University, Department of Geography

The Faculty of Science invites applications for a one-year term position in the Department of Geography at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Professor.
Responsibilities: The successful applicant will teach 15 to 18 credit hours (3 credit hours per course) from the following list of courses: Introduction to Physical Geography, Introduction to Weather & Climate, Geomorphology, Global Environmental Change, GIS I: Spatial Data & Cartographic Design, GIS II: Spatial Data Management & Analysis, and Remote Sensing & Air Photo Interpretation. The applicant is also expected to engage in scholarly activity.
Qualifications: A Master’s degree is required, a PhD or ABD is preferred. Experience in undergraduate teaching would be an asset.

Start date: August 1, 2015 is preferable but negotiable depending on the successful candidate’s availability (no later than September 1, 2015).
Salary: Commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
